Clever Verbatim or Transcripts Edited For Clarity are a very popular format without all the unnecessary ‘ums’ and ‘ers’ and does not include stutters, false starts, repetitions, etc. but the cadence and meaning of the language remain.

Video Transcripts Edited for Clarity

Actual interview questions and answers only are transcribed, capturing interviewers questions and respondent’s reply word-for-word. Directors comments such as discussion of camera angles, noises in the room, interviewee coaching, or other technical adjustments that must be made are cut. Rather than transcribe such off-topic conversation, these are excluded and marked as [Director's comments] in the transcript. Silent footage of scenery, landscapes, crowds, etc. is
marked as [B-roll].
