One of the major problems in transcribing tape is that analog tape is renowned for delivering poor quality recordings. Tape recordings often produce low volume recordings with hiss and background noise. Due to this, it is often necessary that tape recordings are “cleaned up” before a transcription takes place to enable the most to be gleaned from them.

Transcript Divas are one of the few transcription companies that have the services of professional sound engineers apt at getting the most out of tape recordings, right on hand.

Our technical guys take the recording, clean the recording up – take out the hiss, whistles and pops, and transform it into the clearest possible digital recording. This digital format of the recording is then passed along to our transcribers to be transcribed, and finally back to the client along with their completed transcript.
